About Beate Stindt Physiotherapy
About Beate:
Beate is very excited to be back in Port Elizabeth after almost 5 years in the UK.
Beate started off her physiotherapy career in government service in Grahamstown after qualifying from Stellenbosch University in 2009. She then worked in both Port Elizabeth and Cape Town in private practice after which she headed off to the quiet city of Norwich in the UK.
After a short 8 months in Norwich the bright lights of London beckoned. She ended up spending almost 4 years in a private musculoskeletal physiotherapy practice a stone’s throw from St. Paul’s cathedral in the city. She was promoted to clinical director in April 2017 and enjoyed her 18 months managing the clinic.
Beate has done numerous post graduate CPD courses including a diploma in Sports Physiotherapy. Most significantly, she has spent the last 2 years working closely with both Sarah Mottram (UK) and Mark Comerford (Aus) who are directors of Kinetic Control. Kinetic Control offers musculoskeletal physiotherapists a structured approach to assessment and retraining in order to optimise movement health. Beate is one of only two accredited Kinetic Control tutors in South Africa and is honoured to be a part of such an accomplished international team.
Outside of physio, Beate enjoys trail running - one of the main reasons she returned to South Africa. She especially enjoys the challenge of ultra trail running. She completed the Snowdonia Quarter in June 2018, a 50mile run across the north of Wales and managed to finish 3rd woman on an unusually swelteringly hot day in Wales.
